Maritime security is gaining prevalence globally as terrorist and Piracy activity increases. The threat to maritime assets is of great concern all across the global maritime operational picture. This event will bring together key stakeholders from Industry and Government organizations, from the United States, Canada NATO and other European nations, to discuss the way forward in the fight against Maritime threats. Special focus will be given to the increasing terrorism and Piracy threat in the Maritime domain and also the recognition of the increasingly vulnerable maritime industry. The workshop will address key issues in Maritime Security including anti-piracy, TWIC integration, Maritime security training techniques, Maritime terrorism with cargo and ports, and cruise line threats.
A Pre-Workshop full day live demonstrations will be held at the Allied Maritime Component Command (CC-MAR Naples), which will feature the latest technologies focusing on Counter-Piracy and Harbour Protection. (Only invited delegates)

SurCom International B.V. will be demonstrating an LRAD 1000RX and a FLIR THV3000MS Ultra Electronics will be demonstrating the HyperSpike HS-24. The HS-24 is a directional, acoustic hailing device (AHD) and the primary purpose of the AHD is to warn and hail at extended distances in order to protect borders, ships, ports etc. Automatic Sea Vision will demonstrate The first smart vision system at sea offering full perimeter control and a warning system against any intruders of any size (detecting RIB’s up to 4000 meters), giving the captain and crew enough time to react against robberies or piracy attacks.
