DSIT develops and produces Sonar and Command and Control systems for the defense, commercial, energy and homeland security markets. The company employs a world-class multi-disciplinary team of professionals that are skilled in the latest sonar and Real-Time technologies. Many of the company's team of professionals have served as high-ranking officers in the Israeli Navy. DSIT has developed one of the world's leading underwater port security and harbor surveillance systems.
DSIT's AquaShield™ Diver Detection Sonar System now protects ports and energy terminals from the threats of hidden underwater approach and illicit actions at coastal and offshore underwater sites around the world. The AquaShield advantage is achieved through long detection and classification ranges that ensure adequate response time with very low false alarm rates. The fully automatic system is functional in all weather conditions, and its robust engineering enables it to withstand the explosive force of up to 2 kg of TNT at a distance of only 5 meters from the underwater unit. Because site security includes all aspects of a site, from above water to below water surveillance, DSIT has incorporated the entire spectrum in its remarkable 3 Dimensional Display safety and security command and control systems.
The Company's SiteView™ systems (PortView™ and EnerView™) integrate above and below water sensors into an intelligent system that monitors the entire site. These C&C systems facilitate remote monitoring, quick and easy communication with mobile teams and fast and efficient response to crisis situations through built in system protocols that direct security personnel as to exactly what to do in any situation. DSIT also offers a wide range of solutions for sonar operator training including its sonar simulator and training systems for anti submarine warfare (ASW) and generic simulators for submarine sonar operators.
As experts in the fields of sonar and acoustics, the Company has developed and sold to navies and shipyards around the world their state of the art Mobile Acoustic Range (MAR) and Underwater Acoustic Signal Analysis (UASA) systems. The MAR accurately measures the radiated noise of ships and submarines, thus enabling navies and shipyards to monitor and control this noise and silence their vessels. By continuously tracking the measured vessel and transmitting the data to a measurement ship, the MAR system enables real time radiated noise processing, analysis and display. The system also includes a platform database for measurement results management as well as providing playback and post analysis capability.
The MAR’s flexibility enables rapid deployment and saves the maintenance costs involved in operating a fixed acoustic range making the MAR a cost-effective solution for measuring the radiated noise of any naval platform. The Company's Underwater Acoustic Signal Analysis system processes and analyzes all types of acoustic signals radiated by various sources and received by naval sonar systems (submarine, surface and air platforms and fixed bottom moored sonar systems). The UASA applies advanced processing algorithms to derive classification and identification parameters of the signal source.
